Casa34 is a Dutch-owned temporary apartment rental agency in Buenos Aires that was started in 2007. Through its network of over 150 house owners and other agencies, Casa34 helps its clients find the perfect apartment, whether they are students studying abroad, tourists, or professionals. Internship Objectives

  • Assist prospective clients in finding appropriate temporary housing that meets their needs. The idea is for each sale to be a "win-win" situation where everybody is happy.

  • Contribute to team sales and help with administrative and marketing tasks.

· Learn about the different neighborhoods in Buenos Aires and how the short-term housing market works. Put this knowledge to use in daily interactions with clients and house owners.

Tasks

  • Respond to new inquiries by prospective clients by phone, email, or in person.
    • Search the database for apartments that match the client´s requirements.
    • Call property owners in Spanish or English to confirm price, availability, and rental terms for requested period.

  • Completely manage each client´s “file”:
    • Manage the administrative, contractual, and financial process upon closure of a sale.
    • Assist the house owner and client at check-in and checkout.
    • Field any complaints by clients during their stay and work with the house owner to resolve them.

  • Increase Casa34´s visibility through social networking: Facebook updates, blog posts, other comments on online forums or other websites.

Candidate Must Possess:

- Good communication skills (telephone, email, and in person) in both Spanish and English

- Efficient and detail-oriented work style

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

- Qualities of a team player including positive attitude and “can do” mentality

- Customer-service skills

- Drive to succeed in sales (results-oriented)


Length of commitment required: 5-6 months. We encourage interns to travel before and after the internship, but not in the middle. Since interns are responsible for their own clients, it is important that they are available for check-ins/outs and other issues that may arise during their clients´ stays.
